It's year SIXTEEN of my reading challenge blog, and this year I'm continuing to focus on reading those books that people have gifted to me that have been saved "for a rainy day" ... well, the rainy days are here! No longer will they languish in the gathering dust, but instead, they'll be given the priority they deserve! Oh, and I'm really, REALLY going to try and read more in general after a few years of struggling to muster up more than 5-10 minutes at the end of a day. Wish me luck!
Oh no ... only 3 stars ? I loved this book, and have it in hard back, from the day it was released and audio book for when I'm driving or working in the garden. Having read Ian's original 15+ Bond books many times, I found this to be equally as thrilling. OK - so may be I'm a little bias ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm not saying this book is not a good read - quite the contrary - in fact, I have upgraded it on reflection when I look at my previous markings! I would certainly read both more Ian Fleming (having very fond memories of an audio edition during one holiday a few years ago), as well as Sebastian Faulks. It's just my personal preference that, if I were to read all the books on the list again so far - the star rating indicates the ones I'd prefer to read before the others!:)
ReplyDeleteHehe.. I'll accept 3.5 :)
